Elaine received both her BS and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University. She possesses a robust knowledge of biomaterials and is experienced in synthesizing materials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications, with a specialized focus on translating laboratory research into clinical products. Elaine has led the team and research projects since 2011.
Parastoo Khoshakhlagh, PhD
Senior Vice-President & Chief Scientific Officer
Parastoo received her BS in Materials Science from Iran University of Science and Technology, her MS in Biomedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, and her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University. She specializes in the development, characterization, and evaluation of biomaterials in animal and cellular models. Parastoo is the core scientific member of Team Medicogen, which came in first place in the Breast Cancer Startup Challenge 2013.
Jesse Ranney, MD

Jesse received his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University and his MD from Louisiana State University. As a pediatrician at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, he actively identifies clinical issues that can be resolved with material
therapies while guiding product development toward a physician-friendly format.
